Bookadok acts as a bridge between healthcare users and providers. Its primary objective is to facilitate seamless scheduling of examinations, interventions, and other essential health & wellness services. By doing so, it enhances communication between users and healthcare providers, ultimately improving the overall healthcare experience. To ensure successful appointment scheduling and to enable the publication of user comments and ratings, Bookadok reserves the right to utilize specific data at any given moment.
The information collected may include:
- Name and surname
- Gender
- Date of Birth
- Place of birth
- Residential address
- Contact phone number
- E-mail address (used for sending reservation details)
- Preferred appointment date and time
- Types of services or reasons for seeking an appointment with a healthcare provider
- Frequency of appointment requests
Additionally, in certain cases where the service provider requires it and with the user’s consent, Bookadok may collect additional personal data relevant to scheduling specific medical interventions or examinations. It’s important to note that this additional data will not be processed or stored by Bookadok.
For users seeking medical treatment abroad and needing additional services from Bookadok—such as flight booking, accommodation arrangements, visa assistance, travel insurance, transportation logistics, or guided tours—it's important to share the necessary documents with us to ensure a smooth and efficient process:
- A copy of your valid passport
- A copy of your identity card
- A copy of your health insurance card, if available
If you’re requesting these services on behalf of a third party or family members, you must obtain their consent to share their documents with the Bookadok team so that we can carry out the reservation process. If you’re accessing our services on behalf of another person or entity, you warrant that you have proper authorization to disclose their personal information.
If you require translation of your medical documents, such as lab reports or specialist notes, you will need to sign a "Consent Document." This document grants your permission to share your personal information with the translation provider, which could either be an independent translation agency or a dedicated service offered by your chosen clinic.

4. LEGAL BASIS FOR DATA COLLECTION AND PROCESSING

6. USERS RIGHTS IN RELATION TO DATA PROCESSING
In addition to the rights already mentioned in this Privacy Policy, as well as other rights provided by the Law, the user whose personal data is being processed by Bookadok has several rights that can be exercised. These rights are essential for ensuring transparency and control over personal data, and include the following:
- Right to Information. The user has the right to request information about whether Bookadok processes their personal data. This includes details about the purpose of processing, retention periods, and recipients of the data. Bookadok must provide this privacy information at the time of collecting the user’s personal data or within a reasonable period if obtained from other sources.
- Right to Access. The user can request access to their personal data held by Bookadok. This includes obtaining a copy of the data. Knowing what data is processed allows users to verify its accuracy and understand how it’s used.
- Right to Rectification, Addition, or Deletion (“Right to Be Forgotten”). The user can request corrections or additions to their personal data. Additionally, they have the right to request deletion of their data (“right to be forgotten”). If any data is inaccurate or incomplete, the user can ask for corrections or additions. Deleting data ensures that outdated or unnecessary information is removed.
- Right to Object to Processing. The user can object to the processing of their personal data. If they believe the processing is unlawful or unnecessary, they can express their objection. Bookadok must assess whether the legal basis for processing outweighs the user’s interests.
- Right to Lodge a Complaint. The user can submit a complaint to the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection if they believe their rights are violated.
- Right to Restrict Processing. Under specific circumstances, the user can request that Bookadok limits the processing of their personal data. Examples include disputing data accuracy, opposing deletion, or needing data for legal claims.
The processing of personal data will be limited by Bookadok if one of the following cases is met: 1) The person to whom the data refers disputes the accuracy of the personal data, within the time limit that allows the Company to check the accuracy of the Personal Data; 2) the processing is illegal, and the person to whom the data refers opposes the deletion of personal data and instead of deletion requests the restriction of the use of personal data; 3) Bookadok no longer needs personal data to achieve the purpose of processing, but the person to whom the data refers has requested them in order to submit, implement or defend a legal claim; 4) The person to whom the data relates has submitted an objection to the processing in accordance with Article 37, paragraph 1 of the Law, and the assessment is underway as to whether the legal basis for the processing by the controller outweighs the interests of the person.
Bookadok is legally obligated to inform all recipients about any corrections, additions, deletions, or limitations regarding their personal data. This notification must occur unless it is impossible or excessively resource-intensive.
Additionally, Bookadok must provide information to the individual whose data is in question upon request. The individual has the right to receive their previously submitted personal data in a structured, electronically readable format and can transfer this data to another operator without interference from Bookadok.
Furthermore, if the individual believes it is justified given their special circumstances, they can object to the processing of their personal data. Lastly, the individual has the right to avoid decisions based solely on automated processing (including profiling) if such decisions have legal consequences or significantly impact their position.
7. VIOLATION OF THE PRIVACY OF USER'S PERSONAL DATA
In the event of a data breach posing a significant risk to individuals’ rights and freedoms, Bookadok is obligated to promptly notify the affected person in accordance with legal requirements. Additionally, if a breach occurs that may jeopardize an individual’s rights and freedom, Bookadok must inform the relevant authorities within 72 hours, in accordance with legal requirements. The notification submitted to the competent authority includes all relevant details as stipulated by the applicable laws.
8. DATA CONFIDENTIALITY AND TRANSPARENCY
Your personal data will be treated as confidential information and Bookadok will take the appropriate necessary measures to protect it in accordance with the Law. Access to it will be granted only to persons who, considering the description of the work they perform, should be familiar with your personal data and only to the extent necessary for the performance of their work.
