Ovarian PRP Package
The Ovarian Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) consists in the rejuvenation of the ovaries to improve fertility. The treatment at Pelargos IVF doesn’t take more than 5-10 minutes and it lasts 5-6 months, the maximum effect is seen 1-3 months after the procedure is made. PRP can be performed at any time for women without their periods but, for those who are still ovulating, the clinic recommends performing it in the first days of the cycle. Pelargos IVF confirms this treatment shows the best results in women under 40 years old, but also confirms that it can be beneficial in older women that want to try more treatments before the egg donation process.
In 2023, Pelargos IVF achieved impressive clinical pregnancy success rates. The success rate for egg donation was 70%, while the overall success rate for IVF using patients’ own eggs was 62%.
When broken down by age, the clinical pregnancy rate for women under 35 was 74%, for those aged 35–40 it was 68%, and for women over 40, the rate was 43% (42% when PGT-A was used).
The clinical pregnancy rate for frozen embryo transfers using the patient’s own eggs was 69%, and for embryo donation it reached 74%.
Embryologists at the clinics cooperating with Pelargos IVF recommend transferring embryos on day 5 (blastocyst stage) for higher success. In 2023, the average number of embryos transferred was 1.8, resulting in a multiple birth rate of 19%.

With over 10 years of experience in leading UK and Greek hospitals, he is the founder and Scientific Director of Pelargos IVF, offering holistic fertility care, including egg donation and surrogacy, in Athens.
Eleftheria Peirounaki Dr Med
Endocrinologist/Diabetes
Dr. Peirounaki is a German-trained endocrinologist and diabetologist with expertise in thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, and reproductive endocrinology. She holds a Dr. Med from LMU Munich and has worked in top clinics in Germany. Since 2020, she practices in Athens and collaborates with leading hospitals and Pelargos IVF.
Panos Roubesis

Dr Roubesis is a urologist and andrologist. He is a fluent English speaker. He specialises in laparoscopic and robotic Da Vinci surgery, TURis prostatectomy, lithotripsy, microsurgical repairing of varicocele, TESE etc. He sperm problems and cooperates with Pelargos IVF on azoospermia and severe oligospermia cases.
Vasilis Chatziantoniou
Hematologist
Dr. Chatziantoniou is a haematologist with a PhD from the University of Athens and over a decade of experience. He trained in haematology at Metaxas Hospital and further specialized in pregnancy-related haematology and deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in the UK, at Leicester Royal Infirmary and St Thomas’ Hospital, London. Since 2014, he runs a private practice in Palaio Faliro, Athens, and collaborates with top private hospitals.

Vasiliki is a senior midwife, medical tourism and egg donation coordinator, and PA to Dr. Karpouzis. Trained in Greece and the Netherlands, she brings strong international experience and supports both local and international IVF patients.
